Responsible for prioritising actions and monitoring team resource so that deadlines are met.
Duties: Direct team of up to 30 E & I staff members in the support, enhancement, and upgrade of systems. Monitor systems performance to ensure optimal operability. Carrying out daily site inspections. Work planning on the SAP R/3 CMMS. Supervising the performance of corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks of electrical equipment. Verifying that work orders are completed accurately. Overseeing that all tasks given to staff are done on time and to the required standard. Gather requirements and specifications, estimate resource use, and creating schedules / critical path milestones. Reviewing, approval the Permit to Work (PTW), Method statements & relevant documents, certificates such as ICC, DFT, HVSFT, EWC, LOA. Allocating daily jobs and workloads. Coaching and developing the team. Training up new members of the team. Acting as a resource for other staff members. Managing team performance and progress. Enforcing all company approved policies and procedures. Constantly looking for ways to improve processes. Monitoring the performance of junior staff. Implementing new initiatives and making sure all staff understand them. Taking action to correct staff shortcomings. Managing and monitoring staff attendance. Giving prompt and accurate information on individual staff member performance. Resolving any salary or overtime disputes. Controlling team budgets and expenses. Coordinating, attending and leading team meetings. Ensuring a clean, safe and friendly working environment. Communicating on a regular basis with senior managers. Reporting to senior managers. Suggest of improvements for increased efficiency and productivity. Assist in Vendor activities. Assist in the process of commissioning related to electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment. Assist in the performing the SAT test for E & I equipment. Working with all types of electrical diagrams, DRW's, P&ID, loop diagrams, cable schedule, instruments layout, manuals, etc. Diagnose, troubleshoot power system abnormalities. Controlling the testing, repair and maintenance complex electrical equipment in assigned area. The Involved equipment included: PGP equipment such as 4 x Roll-Royce RB211 Gas Turbine Packages, generators AMS 1120LK, 22 MW, 10 KV (ABB Automation Technology), exciters and control units, Substation's electrical equipment, transformers 35/10 KV, 10/0.72KV, 10/0.42KV, LVSWGR, HVSWGR, AC/DC UPS, LV/HV motors & control circuits, Variable Speed Drive, electrical submersible pumps (ESP), electrical protection systems, process lighting, street lighting, batteries and charging systems, emergency generators, emergency lighting distribution boards and electric heat tracing, HVAC systems.
